Maintenance - Ceramic & Dekton®
Cleaning:
Daily cleaning is done with a damp cloth.
Limescales ca be removed with a 5% mixture of vinegar in water.
Maintenance & spot removal:
Contrary to granite, the surface of the ceramic countertops is non-porous and contrary to quartz, the material does not contain any natural resin. Ceramic countertops is therefore extremely easy to maintain.
Dekton® is furthermore resistant to chemical substances, and splashes from bleach and other acidic and alkaline detergents will not leave permanent damage.
Dekton® completely stain repellent which means that even the most stubborn stains like wine, coffee etc. can be removed.
Thorough cleaning:
Ceramic withstands most cleaning products, but for thorough cleaning, Q-Action is recommended (Q-Action is a soap with caring components that protects all stone materials and emphasize their natural shine) as acidic cleaners may damage the surface permanently.
Q-Action Instruction:
- Spray Q-Action on the surface in a thin, even layer.
- Leave to work for approx. 1 minute.
- Clean the surface with water.
- Wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.
Scratch resistance:
Dekton® is the most scratch resistant countertop on the market - Even more than quartz. However, note that materials which may be harder or accidently land hard on the surface may result in damage, which cannot be repaired.
Always use trivets or similar.
Heat resistance:
Ceramic is very heat resistant.
Dekton® tolerates extreme temperatures without getting burned or crack. Pots, pans and similar may be placed directly on the surface. Dekton® is furthermore chock-proof to temperatures, meaning that it tolerates quick changes of extreme temperature shifts. It is further UV-resistant, meaning that the colour will stay the same nomatter whether it is used inside or outside.
