Protection of personal information

It is important for HORN to protect the personal information that is shared with us. Therefore we have a Personal Data Policy that ensures, that information is processed responsible, respecting privacy and of course is in compliance with legislation.

The Personal Data Policy describes how HORN treat personal information about our customers and the rights the customer has in that aspect.

1. Data Responsible

HORN Bordplader A/S is data responsible for processing personal data received from our customers as part of our agreement, regarding the production and delivery of countertops.

2. HORN treat the following information

HORN process personal information related to customer agreement regarding the production and delivery of countertops, including, for example; The name of the employee, address, telephone number and e-mail address of the customer. We treat the same general personal information regarding the end-consumer in connection to the delivery of our products.

 

3. The purpose of data processing and the legal basis

The purpose of processing personal data is the production and delivery of countertops and services, which are necessary to fulfill the contract with the customer.

HORN only process personal data to the necessary extent that enable us to meet the purposes, for which the information has been collected.

The processing is in accordance with the rules of the Data Protection Act and the General Data Protection Regulation.

 

4. Storage of information

We store your personal information as long as we have a relation to the concerned person. When our relation ends, we will keep the personal information for a period that will enable us to comply with documentation requirements such as warranty purposes. Personal information is stored for 5 years after completion of customer relationship or longer, if required by law. Information that is required according to the Danish Bookkeeping Act (accounting material) is thus stored for 5 years including the current financial year.

All personal information is stored and treated confidentially and safely. We have implemented the necessary technical and organizational security measures to ensure that personal information is not abused, comes to the knowledge of irrelevant persons, accidentally or illegally is destroyed, lost, impaired or otherwise treated in violation of the Data Protection Regulation.

 

5. Transmission of information

HORN do not transmit personal information to third parties unless we are required by law, or in the case we have an agreement with third parties regarding the delivery of goods or services to our customers. We ensure through our agreements with our subcontractors that personal information is processed safely and securely, and for the intended purpose.

 

6. The rights of the customer

In the case a customer wishes to make use of the below rights, he or she must contact HORN through the contact details listed at the top of the Personal Data Policy.

We process and respond to customer inquiries as soon as possible and no later than one month after the customer's inquiry has been received.

When you share your personal information with us, you have a number of rights that you can use. You have the right to know what personal information about you we treat. You may, in certain cases, have the right to provide the personal information we have registered about you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and ask us to transmit this information to another data controller.

You may at any time use the right to delete the information we collect about you with certain statutory exceptions. In addition, you are entitled to object to the collection of data, and request that processing of your personal information is restricted. If personal information about you is incorrect, you have the right to have them corrected.

 

7. Complaint

If you wish to complain about HORNs processing of personal information, please send us an email with the details of your complaint to post@hornbordplader.dk. We will then process the complaint and return. 

Note that you also have the right to file a complaint to the Data Inspectorate (Datatilsynet) regardring our processing of your personal data. For further information about complaints, refer to the the Data Inspectorates website: www.datatilsyn.dk.
